Mission Chandrayan
The historic launch of Chandrayaan-1 held at 6.20 a.m. on October 22 from India’s spaceport at Sriharikota.
It was a proud moment for every single Indian soul. A moment to cherish in their hearts forever. It was a history in the making and I was proud to be a part of it, though remotely. As the count down began, which was aired live on TVs and Internet, the level of anxiety and astonishment spiked like mercury in a thermometer.
Chandrayaan-1 successfully carried 11 instruments – five from India and six from other countries – to study the minerals and chemistry on the moon’s surface from an altitude of 100 km above.
Congratulations to Dr. G.Madhavan Nair and his team...[img_assist|nid=68|title=Chandrayan|desc=|link=none|align=left|width=67|height=100]
