Padmasri Bharath Gopi - A tribute

Gopiettan of Kerala Film industry passed away today.
He was hospitalised last week after a heart attack while shooting for the film "Dhey Ingottu Nokiye".
The debut movie of Gopiettan was "Swayamvaram" in 1972. Films like "Ormakkayi", "Yavanika", "Panchavadippalam" and "Aadaminte Vaariyell" were very popular.
Gopi's portrayal of a villager in the film "Kodiyettam" in 1977 won him the National Film Award for Best Actor.
"Yavanika" and "Kaattathe Kilikoodu" were masterpieces of Gopiettan.
He got Kerala state award for the best actor for four times.
Eventhough in 1986 he was paralysed by a stroke, he went on to act in more than two dozen films; shows his dedication towards the cinema industry.
He has directed a Mohanlal film "Ulsavapittennu", and "Yamanam" for the "Yamanam" film, he got national award.
He produced a hit film "Padheyam" and played a key role in it.
